VNA & Hospice Receives Grant from Holt Fund

Springfield, VT (June 3, 2009) – The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of VT and NH (VNA & Hospice) was recently awarded a grant by the Fanny Holt Ames and Edna Louise Holt Fund. The grant was used to purchase specialized infant and pediatric equipment for the Maternal Child Health Program (MCH). The MCH Program provides pregnant women, new parents, babies and children with medical and support services that include well baby, preventative, and high-tech medical care.

The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of VT and NH, a non-profit health care organization providing maternal child health, home health and hospice services, , serves 86 communities from central Vermont to the Connecticut River. For over 100 years, the VNA & Hospice has been providing compassionate home and community-based healthcare services to all who qualify, regardless of ability to pay. Last year, the VNA & Hospice made over 150,000 visits to approximately 6,000 patients.
